Opening soon. VirtuaSanté is getting ready. Appointments and clinical services are expected by the end of summer 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Here are clear answers to the most common questions. For your specific situation, the clinician who sees you remains the best source of guidance.

Pricing and coverage

Are consultations covered by RAMQ?

No. VirtuaSanté is a private virtual clinic. Consultations are not covered by Quebec’s public health insurance plan (RAMQ).

Can I get reimbursed through private insurance?

We provide an official receipt after each consultation that you can submit to your insurer. However, VirtuaSanté does not bill insurance companies directly. Coverage and reimbursement amounts depend on your plan. We suggest confirming with your insurer or employer before your appointment.

Privacy and information

Is my information protected?

Yes. It is used for your assessment, care coordination, and follow-up as planned with you. We apply security practices appropriate to health information.

Who can access my record?

Only authorized people involved in your care (clinicians, scheduling coordination) can access what is needed for that purpose, in line with applicable rules.

Virtual care and other services

Are virtual care services right for me?

Virtual care suits many everyday health needs. For some concerns, an in-person visit is preferable. See our page on when to use virtual care for clearer guidance. When booking, choose the reason that matches your situation. If you are unsure, you can always contact us.

What should I do in an emergency?

If you may be having an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. VirtuaSanté is not an emergency service.

Booking and your visit

How do I book an appointment?

Online booking will be available soon, when the clinic opens. Until then, contact us with any general questions.

What do I need for the video visit?

A device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space. Exact connection details are shared before your appointment.

Do I need to be in Quebec at the time of my appointment?

Yes. To comply with applicable laws and regulations, you must be physically present on Quebec territory at the time of your appointment. We cannot offer a consultation if you are outside Quebec, even if you have ties to the province (usual residence, health insurance card, etc.).

Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us. We can walk you through the process, but we don't provide diagnoses by email.
